If you haven’t done so already, now’s the
time to renew your Glenbrook membership, be it full or associate, and
gear up for the warmth of companionship and the thrill of competition.
If you’d like to add to the level of both
experiences, now’s also the time to recruit new members for our gang.
The qualifications aren’t very rigorous: Men who like to play golf, are
pleasant guys to be around, and who can show up at 8:30 on Wednesday
mornings to get in 18 holes on one of the finest golf courses in the
area.
Our season will kick off (or tee off) on
April 21 with our usual format – for the first day, a four-man scramble.
It’s a good way to ease into the season and mix with fellows we haven’t
seen for the winter months, or whom we haven’t met yet – those new
members you’re going to recruit, remember?
It isn’t hard to sign up – just come on
down, check in with me or Terry Flatt and shake hands all around. The
cost is modest -- $30 dues for the season. After greens fees and cart
rental are paid, we all kick in $5 for the pot, which is split among the
top three scorers and that one lucky guy who makes closest to the pin.
